On February 15, Intel Corporation announced that it has signed a definitive agreement with Tower Semiconductor, a foundry for analog Semiconductor solutions. Under the deal, Intel will pay 53 per share in cash for Tower, for a total of about 5.4 billion. With this acquisition, Intel significantly advances its IDM 2.0 strategy and further expands its manufacturing capabilities, global footprint and technology portfolio to meet industry needs.
